After playing with LURK for the majority of my time in Shadow of Chernobyl and only recently switching to Autumn Aurora, I would strongly recommend the second mod. Autumn Aurora 2 makes the game look absolutely stunning, while I find the improvements in LURK to be small in comparison. Though, it was challenging and for me, challenge can equal fun, but it just felt odd.īoth LURK and Autumn Aurora improve the graphics.
In vanilla, it takes quite a lot more for an enemy to finally die and quite frankly, I disliked the gun play of the vanilla game. LURK and Autumn Aurora do change the game when compared to vanilla quite a bit in my opinion, mostly in the area of how many bullets it takes for enemies to go down. I would say look into Autumn Aurora 2.1 or the newest version of LURK.
